We plan to use at least one Arduino processor in our MX-5e and OSSEV®. It will be interfaced to the CAN Bus to monitor the cars systems and also expose sensor data via the bus.
The Arduino processor will be controlling the coolant pump speed based on the temperature sensor readings it captures. This is achieved via PWM control.
The Mega 2560 Arduino processor has 16 analogue input pins, which can be used to connect analogue sensors such as the coolant temperature sensors. It will also measure the 12V battery voltage.
