Electronics Systems

The electronics systems cover:

• The Driver Control Unit (DCU) and Intelligent Security & Personalisation (ISP).
• Digital and analogue inputs required to perform vehicle data logging.
• Electronics to drive a display with some key information, described below.
• High definition front and rear cameras.
• Data logging for various analogue and digital sensors.
• GPS position, altitude and speed data.
• Wireless communications for telemetry data and remote control.

The car will use a SIM-based comms module to provide Internet connectivity. The SIM contract will be the responsibility of the owner and higher data rates and data allowances will allow video streaming from the car's cameras to the app. Security will be important and pairing of app instances will allow multiple user profiles.

The OSSEV^® will have three integrated, multi-function front and rear cameras.
